About
It’s been quite a journey. Art has always been my constant companion. From drawing and painting to sketching and molding, creativity has been ingrained in every fiber of my being. As a young girl, I studied under Helen Singerhouse Cuniff for a bit. In my teens, I went to summer camp at Art Institute of Pittsburg with few of my besties from high school. During my high school years, I was involved in the Drama club as their set designer and graphic designer for four years, and their yearbook editor for three years. I went on to College for Creative Studies, Design and Art where I obtained my BA in Graphic Design. Later I got my MBA in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
Whenever I travel, my first stop was and is always the art museums and galleries. I even owned a gallery, Firebrick Gallery and Pottery Studio, located in Downtown Rochester for three years, cherishing every moment. The gallery’s mission and focus was on Michigan artists. We offered classes, workshops, and open studio space to members. Would I do it again? Perhaps, with the right support.
Even when I shifted my focus to business, art never left me. My mind brimmed with visions, my dreams teemed with abstract images, and my hands longed for brushes and canvases.
Now, I’m returning to the canvas, reigniting that creative spark. Inspired by nature and my travels, I find solace in mountains, blue skies, and serene waters. Even the smallest creatures like birds and anoles in my garden captivate me. Finches, hummingbirds, and brown thrashers are among my favorites
