Several years ago, I met Jamie at Canton Art Center to see what we could do to save Canton Art Center. Jamie was starting up Menagerie on Main. An art gallery in downtown Canton she had just launched. She planned on featuring local artists in her place. Anyways. Canton Art Center closed down and her gallery remains open and a hubspot for artists alike. She and another woman, Shannon Caulter formed Etowah Arts, a non profit organization to create a community and membership orgaization to provide support for artists in Cherokee counties and nearby counties as well.
